Farmers National Bank of
Emlenton opened its Grove
City branch on West Main
Street in November 2008.
Since that time this office
and the bank as a whole
have experienced substantial
growth by meeting local con-
sumer and commercial lend-
ing and deposit needs.
The Grove City office is
the 13th for the bank, which
has a lease to open its 14th
branch in
C r a n b e r r y
Town s h i p ,
s o u t h e r n
Butler Coun-
ty, later this
year. The bank remains fo-
cused on lending and has ex-
panded its staffing resources
in Mercer and Butler coun-
ties.
As part of those efforts,
the bank last August began
participation in the U.S. Trea-
sury Department’s Small
Business Lending Fund pro-
gram. This voluntary pro-
gram was established to pro-
mote small business lending
by providing capital to com-
munity banks.
Intended to encourage
community investment, this
program is attractive in that
its objectives are consistent
with Farmers National
Bank’s tradition of lending to
small businesses. The pro-
gram provides a platform for
continued investment in the
bank’s local communities
and affords the chance to
help small companies grow
and provide employment and
general economic support in
the region.
Recently, Scott Patton,
manager of the Grove City
office, was promoted to re-
gional manager of the three
offices in the Butler and
Mercer county markets. Pat-
ton will spearhead the bank’s
efforts for planned expansion
into Cranberry Township.
Working with Patton is
Renee Foust, branch manag-
er, Josh Fye, commercial
lender, and three other bank-
ing associates supporting the
Grove City office.
Farmers National Bank
strives to be the bank of
choice in Grove City by pro-
viding sound and safe bank-
ing practices and by partici-
pating in a number of local
events and fundraisers.
During 2011 and into
2012, the bank has spon-
sored the Grove City Com-
munity Easter Egg Hunt,
youth football and Little
League, in addition to provid-
ing substantial education do-
nations to George Junior Re-
public and building cam-
paign funding to Grove City
YMCA.
Farmers National Bank of
Emlenton is an independent,
nationally chartered, FDIC-in-
sured community commercial
bank headquartered in Em-
lenton. With 13 full service of-
fices in Venango, Butler, Clar-
ion, Clearfield, Crawford, Elk,
Jefferson, and Mercer coun-
ties, the bank is a wholly
owned subsidiary of Emclaire
Financial Corp. For more in-
formation, visit the bank’s
