Michael's Grilled Calamari

3 pounds squid, cleaned and rinsed, then patted dry (tubes and tennacles should be left whole)

2 sticks butter

5 large cloves garlic, chopped

1 bunch parsley, chopped

Salt

Pepper

Gas grill and grilling basket used for fish


1. Heat the gas grill _ normal setting (medium).

2. Cook the squid in water for 7 minutes then drain.

3. Saute butter and garlic together, set aside.

4. Arrange squid in the grilling basket and brush both sides of the squid with the butter/garlic sauce.

5. Lock grilling basket. Then char-broil squid on the gas grill, both sides, about 10 minutes.

6. Transfer squid to a large platter.

7. Pour remaining butter/garlic sauce on to squid. Sprinkle with salt and pepper. Top with chopped parsley. Serve with thick bread and white wine.
