Old-Fashioned Fruit Salad

6 pounds bananas, cut in small pieces

2 large cans crushed pineapple

6 large oranges, cut in small pieces

2 pounds seedless grapes, cut in small pieces

2 cups chopped walnuts





Dressing:

3 eggs

2 cups sugar

1 cup boiling water

1. Combine cut-up fruit in a large mixing bowl. Add dressing and stir into fruit. Store in large closed container and keep cool. Add nuts as a topping. Do not mix nuts in mixture.

2. Dressing: Beat eggs and sugar until fluffly, then add boiling water. Cook on medium heat for 7 minutes; stirring constantly. Remove from heat and let cool. Fold into fruit mixture. Makes 1 gallon.
