Country Biscuit

2 cups flour

4 teaspoons baking powder

1/4 teaspoon salt

1/4 cup oleo

1/4 teaspoon cream tartar

1 teaspoon sugar

2 tablespoons butter

2/3 cup milk


1. Heat oven to 450 degrees.

2. In medium bowl, combine all dry ingredients and cut in oleo and butter as for pastry dough.

3. Add milk, mix until dough comes away from bowl.

4. Roll out and cut with biscuit cutter. Bake for 10-14 minutes or until brown.
