Polish Sausage Broccoli Cauliflower Cheese Chowder

1/2 bunch broccoli

1/2 head cauliflower

1/2 pound skinless Polish sausage

1 tablespoon instant minced onion

1/2 teaspoon salt

1 can (13 3/4 ounces) chicken broth

1/2 teaspoon celery salt

1 tablespoon chicken-flavored soup base

2 cups water

2 cups uncooked noodles broken in small pieces

1 quart half and half

2 cups (8 ounces) shredded Cheddar cheese


1. Cut broccoli, cauliflower and sausage into small pieces. Place in large kettle. Add onion flakes, salt, celery salt, chicken broth, chicken base and water.

2. Bring to a boil, add uncooked noodles and cook over medium heat, stirring often, until tender.

3. Reduce heat to low. Add half and half and shredded cheese. Heat to serving temperature, but do not boil. Makes 6-8 servings.
