Super Supper

2 cups instant mashed potato flakes

1 1/2 cups dairy sour cream

1/2 cup water

1 pound lean ground beef

1 can (15 ounces) tomato sauce with tomato bits or 2 cans (8 ounces each) tomato sauce

1 can (15 ounces) corn, undrained

1/2 cup water

1 tablespoon instant minced onion

2 tablespoons sugar

1 teaspoon salt

1/4 teaspoon pepper

1/8 teaspoon oregano

1/2 cup shredded Cheddar cheese


1. In ungreased 13-by-9-inch baking dish, blend dry potato flakes with sour cream and 1/2 cup water (mixture will be crumbly). Pat firmly onto bottom of baking dish.

2. In large skillet, brown ground beef; stir in 1/2 cup water and remaining ingredients except cheese.

3. Spoon beef mixture over potato mixture. Sprinkle with cheese.

4. Bake at 350 degrees for 40-45 minutes, until cheese is melted and bubbly. Make 6 servings.
