Pepperidge Surprise

12 slices Pepperidge Farm Bread,buttered and cubed

3/4 pound New York sharp cheese

2 1/2 cups milk

1 teaspoon salt

1 teaspoon prepared mustard

5 beaten eggs

1/4 pound butter, melted


1. In 9-by-13-inch glass dish or smaller, alternate bread and cheese.

2. Mix milk, salt, mustard, eggs and melted butter.

3. Bake at 325 degrees for 45 minutes or until knife come out clean.

4. Remove from oven and let stand 5 minutes before slicing into squares or larger servings.

5. Serve with cooked bacon, sausage, sliced tomatoes and rolls.
