Brunch Eggs

3/4 pound chipped boiled ham

3/4 pound New York white sharp cheese, shredded

12 slices of bread, crust removed

3 eggs

3 cups milk

1/4 teaspoon salt

1/2 teaspoon nutmeg

1/4 teaspoon dry mustard

1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce

1 cup corn flakes

1/2 stick butter, melted

1. Place 6 bread slices in a 9-by-12-inch baking dish. Cover with boiled ham and then second layer with cheese.

2. Place remaining 6 slices of bread.

3. In a blender, combine eggs, milk, salt, nutmeg, dry mustard and Worcestershire sauce. Mix well. Pour liquid mixture evenly and slowly over bread so the bread absorbs all liquid.

4. In another bowl, combine corn flakes and melted butter. Sprinke corn flakes over top of the bread mixture.

5. Refrigerate overnight. Bake at 325 degrees for 45 minutes to 1 hour. Serve with fruit cup or salad.
