Virginia Apple Pudding

2 cups apples

1 1/4 cups sugar

1 stick butter

1 cup flour

2 teaspoons baking powder

1 teaspoon cinnamon

1 cup milk


1. Peel, core and dice apples. Cook apples with 1/4 cup sugar in medium saucepan until soft.

2. Melt together butter and remaining sugar in microwave or in a saucepan.

3. Stir remaining dry ingredients together. Add to dry mixture the milk, cooked apples, butter and sugar mixture. Stir and pour into a deep casserole dish.

4. Bake in preheated 350 degree oven for 35-40 minutes.

5. Serve with milk poured over it or with a dab of whipped cream.
