Crunch Top Apple Sauce Bars

2 cups sifted flour

1 teaspoon baking soda

1/4 teaspoon salt

1 1/2 teaspoons cinnamon

1 teaspoon nutmeg

1 cup raisins

1/2 cup soft oleo

1/2 cup sugar

1 cup applesauce

1 teaspoon vanilla

1/4 cup chopped nuts





Topping:

2 cups corn flake crumbs

1/4 cup sugar

1/4 cup chopped nuts

2 tablespoons soft oleo


1. Sift flour, soda, salt and spices.

2. Blend oleo and sugar. Stir in applesauce and vanilla. Add dry ingredients. Mix well.

3. Stir in nuts and raisins. Spread in greased jelly roll pan.

4. For topping, combine corn flakes with sugar, nuts and oleo. Sprinkle on top.

5. Bake at 350 degrees for 30 minutes.
