Ugly Duckling Cake 1 package yellow cake mix
1 can (16 ounces) fruit cocktail
2 cups coconut
2 eggs
1/2 cup brown sugar
1/2 cup butter or margarine
1/2 cup white sugar
1/2 cup evaporated milk
1. Combine cake mix, fruit cocktail and syrup, 1 cup of coconut and eggs in large mixer bowl. Blend and beat on medium for 2 minutes.
2. Pour into greased 9-by-13-inch pan. Sprinkle with brown sugar over batter and bake at 325 for 45 minutes.
3. In small pan, bring sugar, butter and evaporated milk to a boil and boil 2-3 minutes. Stir in rest of coconut.
4. Spoon over hot cake in pan or spoon a few tablespoons over hot cake and reheat sauce and use when your serve the cake.
