Strawberry Pie

1 cup crushed strawberries

1 cup water

3/4 cup sugar

3 tablespoons cornstarch

5 cups strawberries

1 baked pie shell


1. In small saucepan, bring to boil crushed strawberries and water. Simmer 2 minutes. Sieve berry mixture.

2. Add sugar and cornstarch and cook over medium heat, stirring constantly until thick.

3. Spread 1/4 cup of glaze over bottom and sides of baked pie shell.

4. Mix 5 cups strawberries with remaining glaze and pour into glazed pies shell.

5. Chill for 3-4 hours in refrigerator. Top with whipped cream.
