Cynthia R. Huntley Cynthia R. Huntley, 699 Grover Ave., Masury, died Saturday (2-22-03) in UPMC Montefiore, Pittsburgh. She was 41. Obituary information was incomplete.
HUNTLEY Donald L. Bohlender Sharon Steel foreman was avid golfer, Mason YOUNGSTOWN -- Donald L. Bohlender, 260 S. Buhl Farm Drive, Hermitage, died at 5:47 a.m. Sunday, Feb. 23, 2003, in Northside Medical Center, Youngstown, after an extended illness. He was 71. Mr. Bohlender was born Feb. 27, 1931, in Worth Township, Mercer County, to Frank M. Bohlender and Sylvia Stone Bohlender. He retired after 41 years of service at the former Sharon Steel Corp.'s Farrell plant, where he was a foreman in the Boiler Shop. Mr. Bohlender was of the Protestant faith and a former member of Free and Accepted Masons in Ohio. He was also an avid golfer. His wife, the former June Sharp, whom he married on Feb. 12, 1961, survives at the residence. Also surviving are: a daughter, Miriam, wife of Fred Reig, St. Cloud, Fla.; four sons, Ted and his wife Michele Reiser; and their children, Ted, Jeff, Chrys and Stefanie, all Mercer; Paul and his wife Pat Schwartz, also St. Cloud; Larry L. and his wife Sue Bohlender; and Thomas J. and his wife Nola Bohlender, all Cochranton, Pa.; five sisters, Lou Emma Klett, Jackson Center; Mildred Klingensmith, Grove City; Bertha "Betz" Nurse and Faye Cummins, both Jackson Center; and Irma O'Conner and her husband Eugene, Grove City; 15 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. Mr. Bohlender was preceded in death by his parents; three brothers, Emil, Philip and Thomas Bohlender; and two sisters, Irene Fotio and Lena Bohlender.
OHLENDER John Sagulla Worth Township man was Sharon Steel retiree John Sagulla, 897 Millbrook Road, Worth Township, died at 6:23 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 22, 2003, in United Community Hospital, Pine Township, having been ill since August of 2002. He was 81. Mr. Sagulla was born Nov. 30, 1921, in Worth Township, Mercer County, to George H. Sagulla and Antonia Klose Sagulla. A graduate of Grove City High School Class of 1940, he retired in 1984 from the former Sharon Steel Corp.'s Farrell plant after 24 years of service as a millwright. He previously worked for Cooper Energy Services Reciprocating Products in Grove City. Mr. Sagulla was also a self-employed truck driver. He enjoyed fishing, farming and gardening. His wife, the former Zetta Tiche, whom he married on Nov. 19, 1949, survives at home. Also surviving are: two sisters, Rose Wasilchak, wife of Henry, Burghill, Ohio; and Pauline Tiche, Jackson Center; a brother, Joseph Sagulla, Jackson Center; and a number of nieces and nephews. Mr. Sagulla was preceded in death by his parents; four sisters, Bertha Darcangelo, Mary Woods, Annette Winklevoss and Anne Lean; and three brothers, Frank, George and Andrew Sagulla.
SAGULLA William A. Riehl William A. Riehl, 118 Latonka Drive, Jackson Township, died at 5:10 a.m. Sunday (2-23-03) in his home. He was 81. Obituary information was incomplete.
RIEHL Robert Lee Clark Grove City man was B&LE retiree, Protestant Robert Lee Clark, 416 W. Washington Blvd., Grove City, died at 5 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 22, 2003, in the residence of his daughter, Linda Madeline, in Hubbard, following a four-month illness. He was 68. Mr. Clark was born Dec. 29, 1934, in Mercer, to Robert C. Clark and Ruth Lenore Cozad Clark. He retired from Bessemer and Lake Erie Railroad Co. in Greenville, where he worked in the Equipment Maintenance Department as an inspector. Mr. Clark was of the Protestant faith. His wife, the former Jean Bruner, whom he married on Jan. 30, 1958, survives at his residence. Surviving besides his wife and his daughter Linda are: his two other children, Jacquelynn Smith, wife of Rodney Smith, Norcross, Ga.; and James R. Clark, Jessup, Ga.; one sister, Sandra Lynn Miller, wife of Clifford E. Miller, Leesburg; one brother, Brian K. Clark, Mercer; and two grandchildren, Jessica Russell and Dustin Clark Byler. Mr. Clark was preceded in death by his parents; and one brother, Marsden E. "Butch" Clark.
CLARK Anna A. 'Audine' Jones Homemaker enjoyed traveling, collecting bears A funeral service will be held Tuesday for Anna A. "Audine" Jones, 275 Sterling Ave., Apartment 109, Sharon, formerly of Reynolds. She died at 10 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 22, 2003, in her home after an extended illness. She was 75. Mrs. Jones was born Jan. 7, 1928, in New Kensington, Pa., to Grover Rearick and Gladys Fink Rearick. She attended Mercer area schools. A homemaker, Mrs. Jones was a member of Sharpsville Church of the Nazarene. She enjoyed traveling and collecting bears. Surviving are: her husband, Richard E. Jones Sr., at home, whom she married on Dec. 25, 1950; three daughters, Sharon and her husband Matthew Williams, Greenville; Ruth and her husband Richard Wolford, Orangeville; and Donna and her husband Raymond Haggerty, also Greenville; two sons, Richard E. Jones Jr. and his wife Kathy, Sharon; and Roger B. Jones and his wife Cathy, Vienna; a sister, Tamson Musick, Sharon; 18 grandchildren and a great-grandchild. She was preceded in death by her parents; one sister, Ruth Bittler; and one brother, Erman Rearick.
JONES Stephen Joseph Falhamer Brookfield man was WWII veteran, 'coon' hunter Stephen Joseph Falhamer of 6692 Warren-Sharon Road, Brookfield, died at 2 p.m. Saturday (2-22-03) in the emergency room of Sharon Regional Health System following a sudden illness. He was 85. Mr. Falhamer was born Aug. 12, 1917, in Masury, a son of Joseph and Katherine Hanak Falhamer. Stephen served in the U.S. Army Company A First Engineers Battalion during World War II. He received the European American Theater Ribbon with six Bronze Stars; the American Defense Service Medal; and a Distinguished Unit Citation with two Oak Leaf Clusters. Mr. Falhamer retired in 1980 after 42 years as a blaster for the former Sharon Steel Corp.'s Farrell plant. He was a member of Church of the Sacred Heart in Sharon and in his spare time enjoyed "coon hunting." Survivors include: his wife, the former Julia A. Wasilow, whom he married on May 3, 1947; four children, Stephen Falhamer Jr., Albany, Ohio; Mary Stoeckel, Emmaus, Pa.; Frank Falhamer, Phoenix, Ariz.; and Tracy Betler, Pittsburgh; two sisters, Helen Cimperman, Masury; and Elizabeth Kotanchek, Kinsman, Ohio; and two grandchildren, Jeffrey and Lisa Betler. He was preceded in death by his parents; and a brother, Albert Falhamer.
