Man invades home of woman, 74
A tattooed man tried to rob a 74-year-old woman at 8:37 p.m. Thursday in her home on state Route 318 near Mercer, state police said.The man asked for directions to Warren, Ohio, then pushed past the woman and demanded money. He went upstairs and opened a box, looking for money, before leaving the house and driving west on Route 318, police said.
The woman said the man, who was white and between 30 and 40 years old, was fat and had tattoos across his chest. She said he was driving a compact van or "S-10 style" sport utility vehicle with side windows, police said.
