Bike enthusiasts can cycle for life to aid Cancer Society
Riders of all skill levels will join a grand tour of Mercer County on Aug. 27 to benefit the American Cancer Society.The "2000 Cycle For Life" event goal is $15,000. First National Bank of Pennsylvania is a major sponsor.
Lake Wilhelm will be the starting point. Distances range from the short ride of about 13 miles, middle ride of about 30 miles and long ride of about 60 miles.
Rest stops, bike repair and monitors at major intersections will be available. Participants are required to wear helmets.
The $10 entry cost covers snacks, drinks and lunch. Participants are encouraged to collect pledges and sponsorships for incentive prizes.
