Police arrest Ohio murder suspect

State police captured a murder suspect from Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio, early Sunday morning in Wolf Creek Township.

Frederick A Nelson, 32, was arrested at 3:44 a.m. Sunday between exits 3 and 3A of Interstate 80, police said. Nelson allegedly shot and fatally stabbed a bartender in Cuyahoga Falls, police said.

Troopers responded to a complaint about a vehicle and an man stopped along the berm on I-80. Police found the car but not the man and after checking the car’s registration they found that Nelson was wanted.

State police began a search of the area, calling in Mercer, Grove City, Slippery Rock, Conneaut Lake and Vernon Township police departments, a state police plane and K-9 units. After about three hours, Nelson was caught and arrested, police said.
