Storm leaves region virtually unscathed
Most of western Pennsylvania was spared Wednesday night from the storm which ravaged parts of Ohio.
In Mercer County a few trees and branches were the only casualties of the maelstrom. Power was knocked out for about 20 customers in Mercer County, according to Pennsylvania Power Co.’s Mercer County Manager Randy Coleman
Coleman said about 350 customers in the utility’s western Pennsylvania service area were without power due to the storm. Outages were mainly due to wind, lightening and tree damage, Coleman said.
All but a handful of customers had their power restored by this morning.
