3 students suspected in school arson
Three Hubbard High School male students are suspected of setting fire Sunday to the roof of the school, police said.
Hubbard police said two 15-year-olds and a 17-year-old were interviewed in school Wednesday about the fire. They said the students were released to their parents pending charges in juvenile court.
The fire, which started at about 4:30 p.m. Sunday on the roof above the gym, caused about $3,000 damage to the school. The high school was closed Monday so the building could be cleaned.
Hubbard Superintendent Carl Morelli said the biggest problem in the building was a smoke smell in the gym and parts of the school.
