MERCER
E. Market sewer replacement to begin soonWeather permitting, work is expected to begin soon on sewer replacement under East Market Street in Mercer.
Mercer council learned Tuesday the borough has received a $250,000 PennVEST loan for the project. The Pennsylvania Infrastructure Investment Authority provides funds for water and sewer projects.
An additional $35,000 will be taken from the borough’s sewer fund.
Totin Construction, Sharon, is expected to have the project completed in May.
