The owner of The Queen of Hearts dance club in West Salem Township and another man were arraigned this morning on drug charges, the first of seven suspects being rounded up today by police, police said.

Club owner Richard K. McConnell, 325 Sharon Road, West Salem Township, is charged with possession with intent to deliver cocaine and criminal conspiracy, police said. He and John T. Polka, Distant, Pa., were arraigned to day by District Justice Ruth M. French, Mercer, according to Senior Deputy Attorney General Linda Barr.

The arrests are part of a larger roundup of Shenango Valley suspects in a cocaine distribution ring that distributed more than 20 kilos -- more than 40 pounds -- of the drug over the last four years, according to a news release from Mercer County District Attorney James P. Epstein and state Attorney General Mike Fisher.
