GROVE CITY

Possible Cooper buyer surfaces

An interested buyer has surfaced for the Cooper Energy Services Reciprocating’s Grove City plant.

Larry Reichard, executive director of Penn-Northwest Development Corp., said Wednesday the local agency has been in talks with a potential developer for the site. He would not identify the developer except to say it was a private concern.

In talks with the business, the idea for the site is to create a multi-tenant use for the plant, Reichard said, noting no deal has been made. He said an annoucement could be made in a couple months.

Production at the 550,000-square-foot Grove City plant was halted earlier this year with a handful of employees remaining to process inventory and for regular plant maintenance.
