Playhouse counting on kids in ‘Number the Stars’ productionYoungstown Playhouse Youth Theatre will hold auditions for "Number the Stars" at 5 p.m. Jan. 3 and 4.
The play, adapted from Lois Lowry’s Newbery Award-winning book, is about two Danish children who help a friend escape the Nazis during the German occupation of Denmark in World War II.
Nancy Olander is directing the play, which requires a cast of boys and girls 12 years and up and adults. Show dates will be March 5-10.
Auditioners are asked to bring a wallet-sized photo and will be asked to read from a script.
