Here are some of the businesses and services affected by the New Year's holiday:
- The Herald will publish a morning edition Monday. The obituary deadline is 5 p.m. Sunday.
- Federal, state and local government offices will be closed Monday except for emergency services such as police, fire and 911. Wheatland borough office will also be closed a half-day today and all day Friday.
- There will be no mail delivery Monday.
- Most banks and financial institutions will be closed Monday.
- Shenango Valley Community Library in Sharon will be closed Saturday, Sunday and Monday.
- Kinsman Public Library will be closed Monday. Audio and video items should not be put in the book return.
Fines will not be charged, and no items will be due Monday.

- Warren-Trumbull County Public Library and its branches will be closed Monday. The main library in Warren will also be closed Sunday.
- Greenville Recreation Center will close at 4:30 p.m. Sunday and remain closed Monday.
- Shenango Valley YMCA in Hermitage will be closed Monday.
