Police release more names of Sunday crash victims
Southwest Mercer County Regional Friday police released the names of five other people injured in a two-vehicle accident at 10:30 p.m. Sunday in Farrell.
In total, eight people were injured, but none remain hospitalized.
Police said a vehicle driven by James Stefanick, 46, of 310 Campground Road, Shenango Township, pulled out from Madison Street while southbound and hit a vehicle that was westbound on Sharon-New Castle Road.
Stefanick and a passenger, Jude M. Swartz, 44, of 2420 Mercer-West Middlesex Road, West Middlesex, were treated at the hospital of Sharon Regional Health System, Farrell, a hospital spokeswoman said.
Stefanick was charged with drunken driving and Ms. Swartz was charged with false reports and public drunkenness after she changed places with Stefanick, police said.
The driver of the second vehicle, Toi Philips, 27, and passengers Brad Phillips, 3, and Rashawn Butler, 11, were treated at UPMC Horizon, Farrell, a hospital spokeswoman said. All live at 920 Market Ave., Farrell, police said.
Brad’s twin brother, Brian was treated at SRHS. Andre Butler, 6, and Breana Phillips, 2, were admitted to UPMC but discharged the next day. All three also lives at 920 Market.
