Invention Convention challenges students’ creative imagination

Winners at the Invention Convention at Hermitage Elementary School were:

  • First place -- Jen Nelson with the Very Inexpensive Water Detector used to detect water leaks.

  • Second place -- Katie Lyons with the Blister-Free Monkey Bars.

  • Third place -- Madisen Richards with her Bedmaker

    The following students received honorable mentions:

    Allison Brown for the Ready to Read Lamp; Kylie Delgros for the Pillow Alarm; Annie Moroco for the Skating Zamboni; Adam Pitts for the Car Stop; Katie Uliwicz for the Peanut Squeeze; Kaitlin Suber for the Bees Be Gone Can; Kelsey Trosch for the Church Pew Infant Seat; Kelly Knisley for the Chairlift Windbreak; Megan Puleo for the Need an Extra Hand Card Holder; Claire Morris for the Hand Wash Gloves, Krista Ivan for the Paint Brush Drip Guard; Justin Lenhart for the Wizard of Oz Game and Liz Davis for the Kid Kit.
