Father charged in case of wandering boy
The father of a 4-year old boy who was found wandering along Clarksville Street in Greenville Friday morning has been charged with endangering the welfare of a child, Greenville-West Salem Township police said.
Daniel Barger, 27, of 102 N. High St., who had custody of the boy at the time of the incident, was arraigned this morning by District Justice William L. Fagley, Greenville.
The boy walked about a half mile from Barger’s home to Clarksville Street at about 4 a.m. A Hermitage woman picked him up and took him to the police station.
The boy was released Friday to the custody of his mother, police said.
