DEER CREEK TOWNSHIP

Bullet-riddled car found along I-79

A bullet-riddled car found along Interstate 79 in Deer Creek Township on Thursday turned out to be the target of a drive-by shooting in Youngstown last month, state police said.

Police received a report of a suspicious person at 8 p.m. near milepost 135 on I-79. They found Emanuel Green, 20, Mack DeJuan Hill, 17, and Kevin Jefferson, 21, all of Youngstown, in a 1977 Oldsmobile with several visible bullet holes in the body, police said.

The three men were taken out of the car at gunpoint, police said. Upon checking with Youngstown police, state police learned the car and Jefferson had been involved in a drive-by shooting in August in Youngstown, police said.
