Lifelong Learning Council announces fall classes
Sharon Lifelong Learning Council has scheduled fall 2001 enrichment classes.
The following adult classes are planned:
Adult sign language -- 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Oct. 16, 23 and 30; and Nov. 6 and 13 in Musser Elementary School, Sharon. Cost is $25. Some partial scholarships may be available.
Salt-Dough Ornaments and Magnets -- 6 to 8:30 p.m. Nov. 13 and 15 in Musser Elementary's art room. Cost is $15.
Scarecrow and Pumpkin Planter Box -- 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Oct. 16 and 18 in Musser Elementary's art room. Cost is $20.
Americana Flag and Heart -- 6 to 8:30 p.m. Oct. 30 and Nov. 1 in Musser Elementary's art room. Cost is $18.
Introduction to Personal Computers -- 6 to 8:30 p.m. Monday through Thursday in Musser Elementary's computer lab. Cost is $25.
Computer Basics for Senior Citizens -- 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. Oct. 15 through 18 in Musser Elementary's computer lab. Cost is $25.
Second Computer Basics for Seniors -- 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. Nov. 19, 20, 27 and 28 in Musser Elementary's computer lab. Cost is $25.
Introduction to Windows 98 -- 6 to 8:30 p.m. Oct. 22 through 24 in Musser Elementary's computer lab. Cost is $20.
Internet and the World Wide Web -- 6 to 8:30 p.m. Oct. 29 an 30 in Musser Elementary's computer lab. Cost is $10.
Web Page Design -- 6 to 8:30 p.m. Oct. 31 and Nov. 1 in Musser Elementary's computer lab. Cost is $10.
Microsoft Word I -- 6 to 8:30 p.m. Nov. 5 through 8 in Musser Elementary's computer lab. Cost is $25.
Microsoft Excel -- 6 to 8:30 p.m. Nov. 12 through 15 in Musser Elementary's computer lab. Cost is $25.
Microsoft PowerPoint -- 6 to 8:30 p.m. Dec. 3 through 6 in Musser Elementary's computer lab. Cost is $25.
Introduction to Personal Computers -- 6 to 8:30 p.m. Oct. 8 through 10 in Musser Elementary's computer lab. Cost is $25.
The following parent and child fun-time classes are planned:
"The Fine Line" drawing techniques -- 6 to 8:30 p.m. Oct. 15, 17, 22, 24 and 25 in Musser Elementary's art room. Cost is $25 for parents; children are free.
Fundamentals of Cooking -- 5:30 to 8 p.m. Oct. 16, 23 and 30 and Nov. 6 in Musser Elementary's Room 109. Cost is $30 for parents; children are free.
The "Get Back to School" program for adults will be 6:30 to 8 p.m. in Forker Lab's Room 125 on the Shenango Campus of Pennsylvania State University, Sharon.
