MASURY

Police say mom left daughter to visit nomadic boyfriend in N.C.

A Masury woman was charged with child endangerment after she left her 16-year old daughter alone on Oct. 19 with $30 and went to North Carolina to rendezvous with a boyfriend, police said.

Wanda K. Trivette, 46, of 1197 Broadway Ave., was charged Saturday, when police found out she was back at home.

According to police, Ms. Trivette and her daughter have moved four times in the past five months to follow the Ms. Trivette's boyfriend, police said.

The teen-ager said the boyfriend claimed he was forced to move to avoid large outstanding debt, police said.

The girl called police Oct. 24, after her mother contacted her and told her to pack her clothes for a move to North Carolina, police said. Ms. Trivette's daughter said her mother said she would never be happy until the girl was on her own,

The teen-ager was distraught because she said her schooling was suffering, police said.

Ms. Trivette's daughter is staying with a local family, and Trumbull County Childrens Services has been contacted, police said. Ms. Trivette is in Trumbull County Jail, police said.
