Teachers, board ready for talksWith the Farrell Teachers Association contract set to end June 30, it's time for the teachers and school board to start thinking about negotiations.
The teachers have notified the board of their interest in negotiating a new deal, said Superintendent Richard R. Rubano Jr.
The board's negotiating committee is made up of Lester Robinson Jr., Michael Wright, Joseph "Peppy" Costa and Jerome Flint, and solicitor James Nevant II.
Rubano will advise the board and Business Administrator Ronald Pendel may play a role.
The teachers are in the last year of a five-year deal.
