State grant benefits countywide recycling programHARRISBURG -- Lawrence County has been awarded a state grant to assist with its recycling efforts.
The $21,192 Department of Environmental Protection grant will be used to reimburse the county for half of its recycling coordinator's salary and expenses.
The grant was awarded through the department's County Recycling Coordinator Grant Program, established in 1988.
