SANDY LAKE TOWNSHIP

Service station robbed twice

A Sandy Lake Township gas station was robbed twice in four days last week, state police said.

At 9:50 p.m. Saturday, two men entered McQuiston's on U.S. Route 62 and demanded money, police said. Police did not provide details.

At 8:30 p.m. Jan. 8, police said, a man wearing a bright orange ski mask, a tan jacket, blue jeans and sheepskin style gloves entered the station with a knife and demanded all the cash from the attendant. The robber got away with $192 after he blocked the attendant inside the station, police said.

Anyone with information about the robberies is asked to call state police at (724) 662-6162.
