Firefighters blame a kerosene heater as the cause of a fire that burned down a mobile home at 6:52 p.m. Tuesday evening. The trailer in Springfield Township housed the business office of 208 Auto Outlet at 1757 S. Center St.

The heater in a storage room ignited some combustible items such as aerosol cans and car fluids, said Chief Steve Rea, Springfield Township Volunteer Fire Department.

No one was injured in the fire, he said.

"We had the fire marshal out Tuesday night after the fire and he ruled it accidental," Rea said, adding that the estimated damage was between $25,000 and $30,000.

Some walls of the building were left standing but Rea said it would be all but impossible to repair it.

The used car sales business is owned by Tim Blose.

Pine Township and Mercer East End volunteer fire departments assisted Springfield.
