College to memorialize Dr. Kring

Grove City College will honor longtime English professor Dr. Hilda Adam Kring at a memorial service set for 1:30 p.m. Jan. 26 in Harbison Chapel. Dr. Kring, 81, of 5 Kring Drive, Pine Township, died at 6:45 p.m. Jan. 11, 2002, in Grove Manor, Grove City.

Dr. Kring was a professor of literature and communication arts, teaching courses in folklore, mythology, journalism, advanced writing and methods of teaching English from 1967 until her retirement in 1985. In addition to her accomplishments as professor and faculty member, she and her husband, Dr. Frederick S. Kring, who also served in many capacities at the college, led many trips for alumni, educating themselves and others through extensive foreign travel.

Memorial contributions may be made in her honor to the Hilda A. Kring or Frederick S. Kring Scholarship funds in care of Grove City College; Grove City Community Library, 125 West Main St.; or The Christian Loving Fund in care of Grove Manor, 435 North Broad St., all Grove City 16127.
