Mercer man, 35, facing sex charges
A Mercer man charged by two police departments with allegedly having sex repeatedly with a 15-year-old girl and impregnating her will face both cases in Mercer County Common Pleas Court.
William A. Foore, 35, of 26 Kirkland Drive, Mercer, was charged by Hermitage police with involuntary deviate sexual intercourse, statutory sexual assault, aggravated indecent assault and corruption of minors.
District Justice Henry J. Russo, Hermitage, held for court all charges at a preliminary hearing Wednesday.
Foore, who was as a live-in family friend of the girl for part of the time, had sex with her between September 2000 and March 2001, police said.
Sometimes the girl's father would be in the house passed out drunk, police said.
Foore knew the girl was 15 when he started having sex with her, police said.
Sharon police said they charged Foore with involuntary deviate sexual intercourse, aggravated indecent assault, statutory sexual assault, corruption of minors and indecent assault for having sex with the girl on several occasions in August.
Earlier this month, District Justice James E. McMahon, Sharon, held all charges for court.
The girl was taken into the care of Mercer County Children and Youth Services, police said.
Foore was released on his own recognizance following his appearance before Russo.
