17 named to Ag Resource Network
A diverse group representing farmers, environmental interests, and education will be meeting to discuss how they can help each other.
Mercer County Commissioners Thursday appointed 17 people from various agencies and interests to the Mercer County Agricultural Resource Network.
Appointed to the network were: D. Earl Smith, who directs a farmer support program; Dave Kaulen of the state Game Commission; Dr. David Baver, a cooperative extension agent; Ed Petrus of the U.S. Soil Conservation Service; George Gregg of the state Department of Agriculture; Jim Deniker of the state Game Commission; James Mondok, director of Mercer County Conservation District; Jim Tokar with the Cooperative Extension Service; John Courtney with the county Agriculture Development committee; farmers Don Koontz, John Ligo and Laszlo Moses; Kerry Prince, a surveyor; Waterways Conservation Officer Joseph Morris; and William Straub and William Vernam, both with grange organizations.
