2 die in fiery one-car crashA Jackson Center man and woman died in a fiery one-car crash at 12:05 a.m. Sunday on Kelly Road in Pine Township, state police said.
Police said a westbound sport-utility vehicle driven by Robert Wayne Lyons, 23, of 1308 Franklin Road, crashed into a tree and caught fire.
Deann D. Deal, 27, also of 1308 Franklin Road, was a passenger in the sport-utility vehicle, police said.
Both died in the crash, police said.
State police and Pine Township firefighters responded to the crash scene, according to Mercer County 911. Kelly Road is between Centertown and Nutt roads.
Mercer County Coroner J. Bradley McGonigle had not released a media statement as of this morning.
