SHENANGO TOWNSHIP

Thief gets away with theft of Century

Police are looking for a car stolen from Shenango Township, which apparently was the handiwork of a thief who dumped one car in the township and unsuccessfully attempted to steal five other vehicles.

Between 3 and 11 p.m. Sunday, five vehicles in the areas of Sieg Hill, Wansack and Hnida roads were entered. All sustained steering column damage, and one had two windows shattered, police said.

The thief got away with a 1988 Buick Century from Sieg Hill, police said. It was stolen from a garage that was entered by breaking a window, police said. Tools also were taken, police said.

The Century, a four-door model, has Pennsylvania license plate DRK6094.

At 10:02 p.m., police found a car on Sieg Hill that had been stolen from Youngstown.
