MCIDA cancels Friday meeting

Mercer County Industrial Development Authority canceled its meeting Friday for lack of new developments.

MCIDA is overseeing the application of a $7 million state grant for Sharon-based Winner Development. Headed by James E. Winner Jr., Winner Development originally planned to develop the former Westinghouse Electric Corp. plant in Sharon. However, Winner said he has grown weary of the project and may sell it. But Winner said no final decision has been made.

MCIDA's next scheduled meeting is in March.
