SRU to offer software sessions, travelogues

Slippery Rock University's continuing education office is offering a pair of four-session software workshops. Times for all sessions will be 6:30 to 9:30 p.m.

Photoshop sessions will be Feb. 19 and 26 and March 5 and 12.

Dreamweaver sessions will be Feb. 20 and 27 and March 6 and 13.

SRU also will host a three-part "Wanderlust" travelogue speaker series. The free lectures will be at 7:30 p.m. in Swope Recital Hall on campus.

Dr. Patrick Burkhart, an assistant professor of geography, geology and environment, will deliver "Gold, Salt and Snow: The Geologic Story of the Great Salt Lake and the Olympic Setting" Wednesday.

Dr. Bruno Borsari, an assistant parks and recreation-environmental education professor, will offer "Living and Teaching in Sierra Leone: Endured Challenges and Lessons Learned" on March 13.

Dr. Deb Cohen, a modern languages and cultures professor, will present "Panama: A Journey Through History" on April 3.
