Store owner not hurt in robbery tryThe owner of West Middlesex Video was not injured when he was hit several times with a steel rod by a man who unsuccessfully tried to take money from him, police said.
Ernest Paris, 40, had just closed the store at 10 p.m. Saturday and was getting into his vehicle when he heard a loud bang, police said.
Two young men wanted money but left without getting any, police said.
Paris was not able to identify the men, police said.
