Association names officers, builder of year for 2001

Mercer County Builders Association has named the following officers:

  • President -- Gary Shelhamer of Shelhamer's Energy Conservation Sales.

  • Vice president -- Bob Siegfried of Siegfried Construction.

  • Treasurer -- Bob Blauser of Greenlee Builder/Developer.

  • Secretary -- Kevin Suhrie of Suhrie Industrial Supplies.

  • Membership chairman -- Tim Handerhan of Penn Ohio Industrial Supplies.

    Shelhamer also has been named the Fredonia-based organization's "2001 Builder of the Year."

    The winner is selected from members who are exceptional in their commitment to the home building industry and the local association.

    Shelhamer's company has been in business 18 years. It first specialized in window treatments and today has expanded to full-service remodeling with six employees.

    Shelhamer has served as an officer and director of Mercer County Builders Association. His community service includes Lakeview School Board member and Fredonia Lions Club secretary.
