A tractor-trailer flipped on top of a car on Interstate 80 this morning, killing two people, authorities said.

The accident, which also involved a second tractor-trailer, happened in the westbound lane, state police said.

The two victims were pronounced dead at the scene at 6:45 a.m. by Mercer County Deputy CoronerScott Black.

Identification of the victims was withheld pending notification of family.

State police closed all westbound lanes of I-80 to clear the wreckage.
