Louis S. Reda Florida man was retired water company officer CLEARWATER, Fla. -- Louis S. Reda, Palm Harbor, Fla., formerly of Hermitage, died at 9 p.m. Jan. 30, 2002, in Westchester Gardens. He was 81. Mr. Reda was April 17, 1920, in Farrell to Ralph and Angelina Lombardo Reda. He retired as assistant treasurer for Consumer's Pennsylvania Water Co., Shenango Valley Division in Sharon, where he was employed for 38 years. At the onset of his career, Mr. Reda worked briefly at the company's treatment plant before transferring to the meter repair shop. He also was employed as the storekeeper in the distribution department. In 1958, he joined the office staff to set up the company's Continuing Property Record System. Mr. Reda moved from Hermitage to Florida in 1986. He was predeceased by his wife, Nora M. Reda, who died in November 2000. Surviving family includes: his son, Dennis A. Reda, Palm Harbor; and his grandchildren, Christina and Raven Reda; and Gia Johnson. A private family funeral service was held in Palm Harbor. Burial was in Curlew Hills Memory Gardens in Palm Harbor. Ailsa 'Bobbi' Pyle Sharon Country Club member was a top golfer A memorial service will be held Friday for Ailsa "Bobbi" Pyle of 725 Dogwood Lane, Hermitage. She died Sunday, Feb. 3, 2002, at 11:30 p.m. in John XXIII Home, Hermitage, after an extended illness. She was 75. She was born in Greenville, S.C., on May 11, 1926, a daughter of the late Albert G. and Ethel Gardiner Smith. Mrs. Pyle was a 1946 graduate of East Side High School, Patterson, N.J. She was a member of First Presbyterian Church, Sharon. An outstanding golfer, Mrs. Pyle was a member of Sharon Country Club. Survivors include: two sons, Douglas K. Pyle of Sharon; and John C. Pyle of Hermitage; a daughter, Karen A. Winslow of Denver; and five grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Paul P. Pyle, whom she married Feb. 1, 1948. He died Aug. 18, 2000. Memorial donations may be made in Mrs. Pyle's memory to the American Heart Association, 59 N. Crescent Drive, Hermitage 16148; or the Sharon First Tee Program, in care of Buhl Farm Trustees, Box 709, Sharon 16146.
PYLE James Elia James Elia, 2105 Parkdale Ave., Hermitage, died at 3:40 p.m. Tuesday (2-12-02) in the hospital of Sharon Regional Health System. He was 81. Obituary information was incomplete.
ELIA Robert E. Morris Robert E. Morris, 745 Dutch Lane, Hermitage, died at 4:38 p.m. Tuesday (2-12-02) in UPMC Presbyterian, Pittsburgh, after a brief illness. He was 73. Obituary information was incomplete.
MORRIS Cyril R. Klucher Cyril R. Klucher, 463 Ellsworth St., Sharon, died at 4:05 a.m. today (2-13-02) in UPMC Horizon, Farrell. He was 76. Obituary information was incomplete.
KLUCHER Georgia Matsis Farrell woman was active in Greek Orthodox church Georgia Matsis of Hamilton Avenue in Farrell passed away at 6:31 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 6, 2002, in the hospital of Sharon Regional Health System after a brief illness. She was 83. Mrs. Matsis was born May 18, 1918, in Trianta, Rhodes, Greece, a daughter of George and Argiroula Makrakis. She was raised in Farrell and attended Farrell area schools. Mrs. Matsis married Michael G. Matsis on July 17, 1938 in Canonsburg, Pa. He died Oct. 29, 1999. After 30 years of being a housewife, Mrs. Matsis worked for Philadelphia Candies for 15 years. She was a member of Annunciation Greek Orthodox Church, where she was a lifetime active member of the Ladies Philopohos Society, the philanthropic organization of the Greek Orthodox Church; and the Pan Rhodian Society, all Farrell. She made her home with her daughter, Audrey Matsis; and her son, George Matsis, who were her caregivers. A daughter, Mrs. Robert (Ruby) Rood, Freehold, N.J.; a son, John W. Matsis and his wife Rebecca, Las Vegas; and four grandchildren, Michael Rood and his wife Jennifer, Baton Rouge, La.; Alicia Epps and her husband Thomas, Jackson, N.J.; and Michael and Alexandria Matsis, both Las Vegas, also survive her. Her husband, Michael; her parents; and her sister, Roubina Makrakis, preceded her in death.
MATSIS Myron Newell Myron Newell, 7049 E. State St., Hermitage, died at 2:35 p.m. Tuesday (2-12-02) in UPMC Horizon, Farrell. He was 63. Obituary information was incomplete.
NEWELL Lillian Alice Miller Unity Presbyterian member was Hickory High graduate Lillian Alice Miller, 87, of Nugent Convalescent Home, Hermitage, formerly of 7425 Sharon-Mercer Road, Mercer, died Tuesday (2-12-02) in the home following an extended illness. She was born Sept. 29, 1914, in Mercer, the daughter of George and Ethel Currie Miller. She was a graduate of Hickory High School, Hermitage; and a member of Unity Presbyterian Church, Lackawannock Township. She is survived by a sister, Mrs. Paul (Gertrude I.) Bortner of Sharpsville. She was preceded in death by a brother, Harold Miller.

SULLIVAN George Harry Senchisin Sr. Cortland man was GATX worker, decorated WWII vet George Harry Senchisin Sr. of 4250 Sodom Hutchings Road, Cortland, died at 4:43 a.m. Tuesday (2-12-02) in UPMC Horizon, Farrell. He was 84. Mr. Senchisin was born April 14, 1917, in Dixonville, Pa., a son of John and Evaline Wolk Senchisin. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II, achieving rank as a Tech 4. Three campaigns and battles were engaged -- Northern France, Rhineland and Central Europe. The decorations he received included European African Middle Eastern Theater Ribbon with three Bronze Stars; American Theater Ribbon; World War II Victory Medal; and a Good Conduct Ribbon. Mr. Senchisin was a steel chipper for General American Transportation Corp.'s former Masury plant for more than 30 years. His former memberships include St. John's Ukrainian Orthodox Church in Sharon; and Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 8860 in Masury. Survivors include: his wife, the former Barbara Anne Mahanovich, whom he married July 14, 1948; one brother, John Byknish, Masury; two sisters, Sue Baca, New Jersey; and Margaret Thomas, Hermitage; and three sisters-in-law, Frances Garish, Masury; Doris Mahanovich, Farrell; and Rose Panko, Vienna. He also has many nieces and nephews. Mr. Senchisin was preceded in death by his parents; a son, George Senchisin Jr.; and five sisters, Mary Petro, Ann Janosko, Katherine Milan, Nancy Kubyko and Helen Keifer.
