Faith-based worker to share how it's done

Ministry founder, Bush ally to be joined by Santorum
One of President Bush's faith-based initiative workers, accompanied by Sen. Rick Santorum (R-Pa.), will speak at 4 p.m. Sunday in Ruth African Methodist Episcopal Zion Church, 95 Connelly Blvd.
The Rev. Marcus W. Harvey, founder and chief executive officer of Strength Inc., a not-for-profit corporation in Wilkinsburg, combats drug and alcohol problems; and problems of at-risk, gang-involved and adjudicated youth; works for community and economic development; and designs models that can be replicated in other communities. Strength Inc. started in 1994.
Rev. Harvey recently created Project Blanket, a substance abuse prevention education program in Allegheny County Jail that has served more than 1,500 in the last two years.
An associate minister of St. Paul Baptist Church, Wilkinsburg, Rev. Harvey serves as a Congressional Fellow at the United States Senate. He is responsible for overseeing faith-based initiatives.
