2 named Buhl Farm trustees

Robert G. Liptak and Mitzi Kuster have been named Buhl Farm trustees.

Liptak, president of Consumers Pennsylvania Water Co., since March 1999, is responsible for the overall operations of each of Consumers' operating subsidiaries in Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Ohio, Maine and North Carolina that collectively serve more than 200,000 households and an estimated 80,000 individuals.

Prior to this appointment, Liptak was President of Consumers Pennsylvania Water Co., including the Shenango Valley Division, since 1980.

Liptak earned his bachelor's degree in civil engineering from Bucknell University, Lewisburg, Pa., in 1970.

He is a member of the boards of Sharon Regional Health System and Shenango Valley Industrial Development Corp. and is management co-chairman of Northwest Pennsylvania Cooperation Council. He also serves on the parish finance council of Church of Notre Dame, Hermitage.

Liptak and his wife, Kathy, live in Sharon.

Mitzi Kuster, married to Thomas Kuster of the Sharon law firm Ekker, Kuster, McConnell and Epstein, is a volunteer for American Cancer Society's Mercer County Unit.

Mrs. Kuster has served as a member of the board of regents for the Julia F. Buhl Girls Club, Sharon, and the boards of directors of United Way of Mercer County and Columbia Theatre Inc., Sharon.

She attended Pennsylvania State University and at one time worked for Mellon Bank in Pittsburgh and later for the former McDowell National Bank in Hermitage. Mrs. Kuster was a partner in the former needlework shop Hollyberry Needlepoint Studio in Hermitage for 15 years.

Her interests are art, cooking and traveling.

Mrs. Kuster's family includes two sons, Brian, Pittsburgh; Andrew, Denver; and a daughter Abbey, New York City.
