SLIPPERY ROCK

2 teens killed, 4 hurt in van crash

Two Butler County teen-age boys were killed and four others injured when the teen driving a van lost control, causing the vehicle to slam into a tree Friday night.

Benjamin was driving the van when the crash occurred about 10 p.m. on Kelly Road in Worth Township, Butler County, police said. He lost control when the van crested a hill and slid off the roadway, police said.

Of the injured, only one remains hospitalized. Benjamin Campbell, 15, of Slippery Rock, was in fair condition at Children's Hospital, Pittsburgh, police said. He had initially been treated at United Community Hospital, Pine Township, police said.
