Semen sprayed on women shoppers in and around the Eastwood Mall Complex between July and November 2001 belongs to Robert L. Gibson, III, 38, of 467 S. Albright McKay Road, according to test results completed Wednesday by the Ohio Bureau of Criminal Investigation.

Gibson has been charged by Niles, Howland and Liberty township police with multiple counts of criminal mischief and a single count of criminal trespass. Police say Gibson used a spray bottle to pelt women in stores with semen.

Gibson had been scheduled to appear Tuesday to face the Howland charges in Warren Municipal Court but the hearing was postponed until the test results were in.

He also faces pretrial hearings in the next two weeks on charges in Girard and Niles municipal courts.

According to Niles police captain Ken Chriswell, the BCI report stated that the odds of the semen not belonging to Gibson is 1 in approximately 42 quadrillion.

According to U.S. Census Bureau, the world population is approximately six billion.

Howland and Niles police received the test results Wednesday, Niles police said. Liberty Township police weren't unavailable this morning to confirm they received the test results.

Gibson was arrested in 1991 in Buhl Farm in Hermitage on charges of indecent exposure and open lewdness. He was sentenced to the Accelerated Rehabilitative Disposition program, which allows first-time offenders to clear their records.
