Police investigate attempted arson at Seventh-day Adventist Church

The following is this week's Mercer County Crime Solvers case:

  • Crime: Burglary and arson.

  • Details: Someone broke into the Seventh-day Adventist Church, 1001 Wheatland Road, Shenango Township, on two separate occasions and tried to set fire to the building. Both the Feb. 6 and Feb. 12 attempts failed.

  • Call: Crime Solvers at (724) 347-HELP, between 8 a.m. and 4 p.m. Monday through Friday. Callers can remain anonymous and still be eligible for a cash reward. Anyone with information can also call the Shenango Township police at (724) 528-3533.

  • Reward: Crime Solvers is a non-profit organization which offers cash rewards of up to $1,000 for information leading to the arrest and prosecution of anyone responsible for a serious crime in the Mercer County area.
