Man accused of molesting 8-year-oldA Sharon man turned himself in Monday to face charges he allegedly sexually assaulted an 8-year-old girl between June and December 2000, Hermitage police said.
Scott Wayne Tatta, 33, of 311 N. Oakland Ave., was charged Feb. 27 with rape, involuntary deviate sexual intercourse and aggravated indecent assault. Police said he performed oral sex on the girl at a location in the city.
Tatta was arraigned before District Justice Henry J. Russo, Hermitage, and released on his own recognizance, police said. A preliminary hearing is set for March 13.
